The Australian opal doublet is a misty sea blue in indirect light, and secret pinpricks of green, blue and purple pop out in direct light or sunlight. There’s just nothing like the cool greens of genuine emeralds. This hand-cut Zambian emerald teardrop glows in any light, with natural dark inclusions contrasting with the deep limpid green. A gold-vermeil twisted-rope setting and integral bail creates a rich, luxurious feel in a small package.

This stone has a secret! The delicate dove-grey body of this hand-cut solid Australian opal hides a wealth of red, purple, and gold sparkles in direct sunlight. This quirky little pendant has two personalities! The hand-cut teardrop shaped tourmaline is actually a pale aqua blue, and was meant to be set in a sparkly silver base. But I reached for the gold instead, and this unique charmer is the result! Viewed from straight on, it’s a sunny little golden stone, but seen from the side the subtle light blue glows throughout. Set in fine and sterling silver, a twisted-rope setting gives this dainty piece plenty of sparkle..

Electric greens and hints of blue shine from the body of this Ethiopian opal and silver pendant. The hand-cut crystal-clear stone is set on 24K gold foil for a brilliant sparkle that will never fade. In indirect light, this little stone keeps its secrets close - but in sunlight the colors flash brightly. Hand-fabricated in fine and sterling silver, a twisted-rope setting displays the stone’s play of color.
Welo opal is unique in the way it reacts to water. The stone will lose the lovely play of color when soaked, which recovers within a day or so after drying. It is recommended that you avoid regularly submerging fine opals in water.
